Charnwood Genealogy
Simon Last was born in Suffolk and has strong links to East Anglia, now living and working in Southend on Sea in Essex. He has been involved in Family History for a number of years and set up his own business Charnwood Genealogy in April 2012 after he studied for his Post Graduate Certificate in Genealogy in 2010/2011.
As part of this of course he undertook a project involving research into the names on the Framlingham War Memorial in Suffolk, which has since led on to further research on the Aldeburgh War Memorial and the publication of three books on the subject.
In October last year he undertook a 75 mile Frontline Walk through France and Belgium to raise over £5,500 for ABF The Soldiers Charity and to honour all the names he had researched over the last four years.
He runs a One Place Study about the village of Parham in Suffolk and also has a One Name Study into his surname LAST.
