Alison MacLeod Spring MLitt QG
Proud of my Scots heritage, I’ve been looking for my ancestors for over 40 years, and run a professional research service at Scottish Ancestral Research: Genealogy Detective. I've worked with clients from around the world and in the media, publishing, and charity sectors.
As a member of the Register of Qualified Genealogists, I have a Masters Degree in Family & Local History from the University of Dundee. Based in Glasgow, I’ve also taught college and university genealogy courses, written for the UK’s “Family Tree” magazine, and delivered presentations both online and in person at FamilyRoots, The Genealogy Show, RootsTech, and Family Tree Live.
I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience in talks, magazine articles, classes, and my Frugal Family Historian blog where I write about free genealogy sources and tracing your family tree on a budget. You can view a list of some of the presentations I offer to groups, and give me a follow via social media on Twitter @FrugalFH and Facebook.
